One of my most memorable special occasions (as there have been many, thank the Lord from whom *all* blessings flow!)...would be my daughter's *tea party* birthday party a couple years ago. The weather was just lovely and we set up a table and chairs. Her friends all came, dressed in their most fancy attire, and they ate dainty snacks and lovely tea (juice). My sister and I were able to set the table and oh my, was that fun! Flowers and many fun, simple decorations made it just sparkle and I think everyone had a nice time! :)

My most memorable special occasion was my wedding. I know, all brides say that. This was a second marriage for both of us & we wanted to make it special the second time around. I put together all the decorations myself because we were on a tight budget & there was a small chance he wouldn't make it home on leave for this event! He made it home for 2 days before he had to leave again & go to Iraq. Friends were kind enough to help with food so it was kind of a potluck reception but it was a small wedding with just immediate family & our best friends present. In addition, Mother Nature cooperated & no rain in April in Western Washington as it was an outdoor wedding. :)

My most special occasion was a wedding shower thrown for me by a close friend of my mother's. Not only was it so special that she opened her home to me, complete with mimosas, beautiful tea sandwiches and array of sweet treats but it was so special for my mother. She had been having an extremely stressful time dealing with the decisions to put my grandmother in a nursing home, and it was the first afternoon that I got too see my mom relax and enjoy all of the festivities thanks to the generosity and of her best friend. It was a special day for us to share, and I look forward to a time when I can repay the hostess with a party in her honor.

I think the crafty baby shower my friends threw for me was one of the most fun and special occasions. We all decorated onesies with stamps made from potatoes. It was so nice to smile and think of my dear friends every time I dressed my son in one of the darling shirts we made!

My favorite occassion thus far was my high school graduation party. It was such a fun time of life and it was so nice to see all our family and friends get together and just have fun celebrating! I also was into cake decorating at the time and my mom and I made these amazing cookies and cupcakes that were a hit! Of course I'm holding on to the hope that my wedding will be the best day of all! We've been saving for such a special day! I can't wait! Thanks for a great giveaway!
