Eric and I have vetoed gifts this Valentine's Day. (Every "Holiday" has been elevated to such bonkers levels of "buy buy BUY!", that I'd rather just opt out.) Just the same, IF someone were to break the No Gifts This Year Rule and bring home a jewel box of Norman Love's shiny confections, I would be secretly delighted. Don't they look like little objets d'art? Has anyone ever tasted one of these chocolates? Are they as delicious as they are beautiful?

I tend to be anti-gifts for holidays as well, meaning that I don't want people to feel obligated to get me something just because it's a holiday and that's what you do for holidays, however, if they saw something that they really thought I would like and gifted it to me, well, that's okay. Like chocolates. I will take the cliche, heart-shaped box of ooey, gooey, yummy chocolates any day of the year!
