A do it yourself project for Wine-o-philes!

I took an ordinary cork bulletin board and decked it out in my (enormous) stash of wine and champagne corks. No small amount of credit must go to my husband who dutifully sawed them all in half with a wimpy serrated knife. He's got the bloodied fingers to prove it. I've done this exact project before and as with so many things, (pancakes, poems, putting) they seem to improve with practice.

Here it is as installed on my desk. That clock is set to Minnesota time so I know when I can call my mom from Shenzhen without waking her up in the middle of the night. There is also a second cork board waiting in the wings there. Looks like we've got a lot more vino to drink!

You sould have used your butcher knives to cut them in half. That'd be way more fun.

At least that would offer them some purpose. Presently they are gathering dust in the cupboard. I'd be concerned that he would chop his fingers off, which would mean a blog post about the joys of navigating a Chinese hospital. Somehow, that's one I'd rather not have to write...
