While we were gallivanting around the southwestern USA, someone who shall remain nameless decided not to pay our electric bill. Which meant that our freezer was full of slowly and steadily melting, then rotting and then festering food. I'll spare you the ghastly details, just know that they were ghastly and my sainted husband dealt with them. (He is assigned revolting job detail in this partnership)
Afterwards we went on an expedition to fill the refrigerator up again, only to be greeted by this reminder of just how far we really are from Kansas.
This my friends is exactly what it looks like; a delectable, leather hided, and possibly delicious, alligator. Well almost entire. Looks as if the choicest part has already been purchased. Its good to be home.

Oh dear, the picture made me weak in the knees...very interesting though.
The truly scary part is that I'm beginning to get used to it!

Am I to assume that the picture in the grocery store is what you bought to restock your refrigerator? I can hardly wait for dinner on Saturday night.
By the way, I hope that it is alligator. Crocodile is the fishiest tasting most awful meat I have ever had. This is strange because it's not a fish.

Hmmm...I think I could eat an alligator. I'm not sure how you'd cook it.
oh my gosh! ...that's all I can say...
