Here is a little pair of arrangements I brought as a hostess gift to a friend recently. I used some grocery store roses filled out with some ginger and greenery from my backyard. (Do you remember these DIY Mercury Glass Vases?) She was delighted and so was I. I'm taking a floral class at The Donkey Mill Art Center in a few weeks and I'm so looking forward to getting some tips on how to work with all the gorgeous tropical flowers blooming here in Hawaii. Tropical flowers are so spiky and dramatic- I can't wait to learn how to show them off best. What's the prettiest arrangement you've ever received?
