Giddy Giveaway: Ready, Set, Jetset! Win an Oil Cloth Bag Stuffed with Goodies!

This month's Giddy Giveaway combines a few of my favorite things: Travel, Color, Whimsy and Smelling Good.

These wonderful little oil cloth make-up bags are from Emmilee Designs. Be sure to check out her cute shop, especially with Christmas around the corner. (Who can't find a use for a waterproof zippered bag?) She generously sent along a few extras to giveaway to y'all. (Thanks Emmilee!)

I filled them up with travel sizes of some great products that I hope you'll enjoy on your next trip- or on a stay-cation spa date with yourself! I love small sizes because you can try something new without committing to a whole bottle (there is probably a Zsa Zsa Gabor-esque one liner in there about ex-husbands if you care to hunt for it.) And with travel sizes, you can carry on- no small thing for a jet setter! Preparation and Ease are the jet setter's secret weapons. How else could one emerge from the cattle cart of coach unrumpled and unmussed?

To enter, please do leave me a comment describing a travel moment that made you feel like a Jet Setter (or at the very least, a glamorous Air Hostess circa 1965!) Don't forget to include your e-mail address so I can get in touch with you if you are a lucky winner. Please leave a thoughtful entry since I'll be picking my favorite comments to win. There are 6 fabulous prizes, so don't forget to tell your friends!

For bonus entries, you can follow me on Twitter, join my Facebook fan page and or visit my Etsy Shop and let me know which item is your favorite. Please leave a separate comment letting me know about each entry.

Thanks for being members of my little blog. I love hearing from each of you and these contests are such a fun way to get the conversations rolling!

Cheers!

Madame B

Once upon a time I was working as a nanny for a family from Manhattan. They decided to vacation in Idaho for a week and took me with them. We flew out on a private plane out of Jersey. The bathroom on the plane was nicer than any I'd ever been in and the meals were catered. Catered! With fresh fruit and everything! Oh, and no long lines at the airport. It was a private airfield. Oh, and did I mention Marky Mark was flying out from the same airport? At the same time? And I talked to him? Yup.

This past summer, I spent two weeks in Nicaragua. We got to see some very poor places, as well as some very nice tourist-y places. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. We got to zip-line down the side of an active volcano, and hike through a rainforest on the other side of the same volcano. I saw flower and animal species that were native only to that rainforest. It was incredible, and I wouldn't trade the hot weather and constant sweatiness for anything!

What beautiful little bags! I guess my most glamorous travel experience was staying at the Biltmore Inn for a Thanksgiving weekend! They had the pretty lush white robes to wear, and they turned down the bed at night and left chocolates! It was nice being on the estate for a few days, shut off from the rest of the 'real' world...surrounded by beauty!
Thanks for the sweet giveaway! Hugs! ♥

Listening to jazz in the early hours of the morning at a little club in Paris. I felt chic by association. ;)

I felt glamorous when traveling to Italy for a wedding - the wedding was high end and the hotel we stayed at was, too. Truly a trip to be remembered!

On my first business trip I flew first class into montreal, stayed on the club floor in a fancy hotel downtown and had more free time than work time! It was a wonderful first business trip for a young person just starting out in the corporate world!

really sounds sad but anytime I get out of town, I feel special. I am a clergy spouse so $$ doesn't allow for big trips about, but everytime I am with my family, I feel like I am really living the big life!

Okay so I have never had a trip where I felt very glamorous, the closest thing was when I took my first flight trip alone at 18 going on a mission trip, and I was able to sit in a nice airport in Colorado for a long layover.

I felt like a jet setter when my husband planned a vacation for us last year. He would not tell me where we were going only what to pack. He called my boss and got the time off that I needed. I didn't know where we were going till we boarded the plane. He made sure I didn't see the tickets or talk to the airline employees. When we were on the plane it is announced that we were going to Paris. It was such a wonderful surprise!

I felt like a jet setter when I flew from home to Atlanta, GA to visit my aunt when I was a poor college student - some 20 years ago! She is a former stewardess from the 1960's and had moved up thru the airline ranks to management, so she sent me a friends and family fly free coupon and had me upgraded to first class!! I dressed up in my spiffiest outfit to board the plane and only had oe carry on! I'd never felt so cool and cosmopolitan! I had a great weekend hanging out with her, shopping and getting our nails done! She is still my favorite and coolest aunt!!

Growing up, my best friend's family took me with them to Florida one year...it was my first and last time flying first class...the plane food was marvelous and almost made up for the fact that they lost my luggage...there way of bringing me back down to earth, I guess.

A few years ago, I accompanied my dad on one of his business trips, because, well - I thought it would be a fun way to spend some time with him plus travel to places I hadn't even been! We began by flying up to Washington, D.C. & then flew from D.C. to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands 2 days later. It was so much fun! Stressful, logistics-wise at times - but such fun to being "jetting" back & forth :)

One time I felt like a jetsetter when the plane we were on was running an hour late and there was no chance to make a connecting flight -- but they held the plane we were going onto. Then we realized that there was a ton of us. We had a moment of special at least. Made it home on time too!
