It's Mango Season at Casa Kazana. Our tree is dropping them on the ground with glorious abandon and my husband is enraptured. He goes on Mango rounds twice a day, squeezing and caressing them like newborn babies. Unfortunately, we are about to go on vacation for two weeks. Our friend Kristin has agreed to come by and take away what she can (Merci dearie!). I think E's heart would break if he came home to see a hoard of slugs feasting away on them. They really are incredibly delicious and come in such gorgeous shades- from vivid gold to avacado green with blushing patches of crimson- I quite enjoy just arranging them in a bowl on our kitchen table.

we just planted our vegetable garden, but this weekend we spotted a few raspberries on our new little bush. hooray!
