Before. I must confess, I crammed most of the stuff into this room from other areas of the house. This was not the peak of fullness either.
After! I changed the bedding (does that duvet look familiar?) Hung some grey flocked curtains and fresh artwork.
I cleared away the knick knacks and added a new lamp with a grey shade to pick up the curtains. I also added some decorative paper underneath the glass on the bedside tables for a little extra pizazz. This room is easily the darkest (and coolest!) in the house, but I think it looks brighter and more modern now.
And it's ready for our guests! You'll have your own bathroom, world famous Kona Coffee and use of our Vespa (if you're nice!) Who's coming to Hawaii first?

Oh I hope it's me! I don't care if I'm the first or last, I just can't wait to share in your little Hawaiian home!
miss you so

I know you don't know me but, we're trying to get to the big Island in '10. We want to visit Kalani again. The room looks great!
Looks cozy and inviting now! I love the added touch of the decorative paper under the glass.
Now... where did my luggage get to? I've always wanted to take a joy ride on a Vespa ;)
You have a great gift of transforming drab rooms into beautiful ones! Great job, excellent taste!
I'd love to come visit!
So... I thinkl I'll just invite myself over and enjoy that beautiful room.
Hahaha...
But seriously I've always wanted to see that black sand in Hawaii...
