Floral Flippy Floppies

Today's project couldn't be simpler. Everyone needs a pair of flip flops for summer, but why not gussy them up a bit?

I used fabric covered flops from Target (I find it's easier to hot glue fabric to fabric instead of rubber, but feel free to experiment and report back!) It can be tough to find the millinery flowers I like to wear (ordinary silks often look quite garish, don't you think?) but I found these adorable headbands at H&M and just snipped 'em apart. (I saved the elastic for another project I'll share later.) Heat up your glue guns y'all!

These already had felt backing on them. If you are using ordinary silk flowers, it might be a good idea to hot glue a circle of felt over the plastic stem to make it easier to glue to the flip flop strap and also to hold the flower together.

Make sure your glue gun is good and hot- the hotter the glue, the better the bond will be. Coat the knot with a generous slathering of hot glue, place your flower and hold together tightly until dry.

That wasn't so hard, was it? Now slip on a sundress and go enjoy that sunshine!
