Shanghai; Eleven Purchases

When I saw these ladies during our trip to Shanghai I knew I had to buy a few; they are so closely related to the pipe cleaner ladies I've been making. These are actually even more elaborate, some are wearing strands of beaded necklaces or turbans embellished with beads. These are meant to echo the folk costumes of the Miao minority in China and I fell madly in love with them. I tired to buy only two or three, but in the end I took home eleven. Now they are lined up in a little row on my bulletin board; a little platoon of inspiration. See if you can figure out which one I photographed twice for the purposes of symmetry...
