A Very International Chair

There is nothing wrong with this chair per se.

But doesn't it look better decked out in these Indonesian Ikat shawls I found at a furniture fair the other day? If I had it to do over again I would have bought all the same color, but I didn't know they'd be decorating my chair instead of me. (Since this is a rented chair, I couldn't tack them down and therefore they are still able to perform double duty.)

This pillow is something I've been meaning to show you. I saw this version by Snowden Flood ,but $200 is out of my throw pillow budget, so I whipped up my own. I'm planning a second one with an image of this Mayan temple at Palenque.

Ohhhh I love the pillow! That's the way to go when you can't afford to buy one. I'm sure yours is better anyway!

I kinda think so too, this way is more personal. (though we did watch a whole season of the wire while I worked on it...)

The chair looks great decked out in the shawls!

Wonderful embroidery work on the pillow and just the right touch for the chair, too!

Thanks, I'm happy with it. Its hard to give things personality temporarily, which is the big challenge of a rented furnished apartment.
