The Cardinal is a very popular state bird; Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia have all honored this dapper pair as their official state bird. I think giving a little nod to your home state with your wedding cake topper is an adorable idea. My Cardinal Love Birds were a perfect finishing touch to their cake. (Gloria's talented bridesmaid made that gorgeous cake herself! Can you believe it?
