Bernadette is a cheese lover from Baton Rouge. For this year's summer vaction, She is packing up her vintage VW Bug convertible and taking a road trip across the United States to visit family farms that make artisanal cheeses. See
the treasury live on Etsy here.

...In which she carefully saves her
cheese labels and writes tasting notes about the flavors and textures she encounters.

Her vintage
red Christian Dior espadrilles are comfortable, unfussy and swish pleasantly as she walks around in the orchards and fields.

Her
Straw Sun Hat is a must, even if it gives her a Thomas Jefferson style farmer's tan. She'll wear it as a badge of honor.

"Say Cheese" takes on new meaning when she's pointing this
vintage camera at her subject.

This
Compliments painting was tricky to fit into her tiny backseat, but she had to get it home to hang above her dining room table.
These handy knives are good for spreading, slicing and the all important labeling. Also, quite easy to fit in her quickly filling suitcase.

One of her favorite parts of her tour is seeing the process up close and personal. This
Antique cheese wheel has a rustic, authentic beauty she can't ignore.

And before she knows it, she's right back at home again, with a notebook full of tasting notes, a camera full of happy goats and cows munching grass in fields of daisies, and a fridge full of the good stuff.
