DIY Recycled Soda Bottle Vase

I had a friend who needed a bit of cheering up, so I decided to bring her a bouquet. I didn't have any spare vases, so I whipped one up using a liter soda bottle. It's the perfect solution because it's inexpensive, quick and recyclable! (I also like how the green blends with the stems and doesn't detract from the finished arrangement.)

All you need is a soda bottle and a box cutter.

Remove the label.

Cut off the top of the bottle.

You can also use the top as a funnel- hooray for dual uses! Rinse out your "vase".

Fill up your impromptu vase with water and fresh flowers from the backyard and you've put a little smile on someone's face for free!

Have you practiced any Random Acts of Kindness lately? I'd love to hear all about it! That's the stuff Aloha is made of.
