This was what lurked behind the door to our apartment when we finally arrived home...
I had put all my houseplants in one place so the housekeeper could tend to them in our absence, but obviously there was a flaw in the plan. I can most likely blame my Mandarin...the good news is now I have some empty pots to grow herbs in. And my Gram gave me an amaryllis for my birthday. I was very naughty and didn't declare it in customs. So if there is an amaryllis blight that strikes China in the next few months, you can likely blame me!
